The library now has e-books! Check out our starter collection of e-books, available at MackinVIA. We will be adding books in the future, so check back throughout the year. Books can be read on any computer or mobile device, thanks to the MackinVIA app. See library staff for login details.

Remember: free e-books are free because they are older books that are out of copyright. Newer books are still under copyright and should be paid for, unless offered for free from the publisher, the author, or a legitimate website like the ones listed below. If in doubt, don't download it!
Amazon.com -- Don't own a Kindle device? Download the Kindle app to your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Free e-books are available through the Amazon.com website, including nearly 2 million classics. E-books can also be purchased from Amazon.
Barnes and Noble -- Don't own a Nook? Download the Nook app to your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Purchase e-books at the Barnes and Noble website.
Internet Archive -- Offers over 5 million books, which can be read online or downloaded as PDF files or in e-reader format (including Kindle which can be read using the Kindle app).
Open Library -- Over 1 million classic books available for free that can be read online or downloaded in PDF or e-reader format.
Project Gutenberg -- Over 42,000 free e-books which can be read online or downloaded.
